Crysis 2 and Skate 3

Hello once again! This week, I will be showing you a video of the upcoming anticipated game after the highest requirement for a computer game, CRYSIS 2! The first Crysis really did need the highest requirement for a PC (personal computer) game because of the engine the game used, which is CryEngine 2. 

Having bought Dead Space 2, I was expected to be scared stiff after playing the first Dead Space but I found myself wanting to play more, although it is still very scary (I dare you to play it at night). With the collector’s edition, the soundtrack of the game as well as a tiny replica of the first weapon you get in Dead Space 2 comes free (Yes, that is me holding the replica of the plasma cutter) if you pre-ordered it. 

So for this week’s entertainment, I will show you the trailer for Crysis 2 and some hilarious outtakes of skate 3. Enjoy (and please do comment!).

DC universe online and Farmville

The Video Game Awards (VGA) 2010 was shown on AXN (channel 511), Animax (channel 532) and AXN beyond (525) and it featured the winners of last year’s games in different categories like Character of the year, Best first person shooter, Game of the year, etc. 

It also featured many world premiere game trailers and sequels to already successful games like Batman: Arkham City, Unchartered 3: Drake’s Deception, Prototype 2 and so much more.

So many sequels and yet so little time (and money). I was browsing through some videos and came across a game trailer that I would like to share with you guys. 

And since these are new games, they do not have funny parts so the second video below is a parody of a game that I am sure everyone knows. Enjoy! (and please do comment)

Star wars (Again)

End of the school term is approaching (about 5 more weeks!). And this year, there are so many games coming out and announced. So many games, so little time. 

There are so many great games that I am looking out for! Many of these include Dead Space 2, Dragon age 2 (as I said in my last blog post), Gears of war 3 and so much more. Is anyone interested in Mass Effect 3? I hear it is a great RPG (Role playing game) but Dragon Age is the one for me.

I hear that Star wars: The old republic is coming out in April (hopefully) and I really cannot wait. Yes, I am a big star wars fan (mainly of the games and the great storyline).

I am doing a certain assignment in my course (Game and Entertainment Technology) and it has me doing a Game Design Document. I have to create a game and the game that inspired to do a First person shooter is Star wars: Republic Commando. See the star wars video and make sure turn up the volume to hear their speech.

If anyone reads this by 19^th of January, I will be at TPCG (Temasek Poly Cyber Games) this Wednesday (19^th) to help out. Do drop by and look at the match.

Dead Space 2 and Dragon age 2 (Not really)

It is the second week of January and the most anticipated games are coming out this year. I have already pre-ordered Dead Space 2 and Dragon age 2 (there is a lot of twos involved!) since Dead Space 2 and Dragon Age 2 were great sequels of the original two games. 

I cannot tell you how impatient I am to get those games!

Both of these games have a very good storyline. I play them for both game-play and the story. Dead space has 4 stories that tell you the events that happened before and after the first game, 2 before and 2 after. The 2 that tells the events before was a game – Dead Space: Extraction and an animated movie: Dead Space: Downfall. The 2 that tells the after was a mini arcade game: Dead Space: Ignition and another animated movie: Dead Space: Aftermath that is coming out soon (Warning: Some of the videos are quite GORY). The story that is told is so deep and makes me want to know what is going to happen.

The videos below shows no relation to Dragon Age nor Dead Space (as there were no funny videos of them) so below is Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood again. Try playing these two videos at the same time! Enjoy!

Red Dead Redemption

First off, I would like to wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy new year! This year (okay last year) was a great year not just for me but for the games as well. 2010 games blew us all away with sequels and prequels. This year will be even more exciting with more exciting and cool just waiting to be released.

To celebrate 2010, the games were remembered as the year of the zombies. Some said it was the year of the HORSES (in some funny video game video on YouTube). I thought it was a bit of both. For zombies, there were many games that involved and indirectly involved zombies. There was Left 4 dead 2, Dead rising 2 and Call of Duty: Black ops with the mode called, you guessed it, Zombies. I would have to say a bit of both for the game that won GAME OF THE YEAR award: Red Dead Redemption.

As you know, red dead is like grand theft auto; free roaming, no rules, doing what you want and when you want. It takes place in the old west so it has many horses. They came out with the expansion: Undead Nightmare and that had zombies as well as undead horses.

So sit back and enjoy some montages of Red Dead Redemption!
